Day by Day
- Day 1: Arrival in Arusha and Transfer to Tarangire National Park
Your safari begins as you land in Arusha. After meeting your guide, you’ll head to Tarangire National Park. This park is home to impressive elephant herds and has an impressive variety of wildlife. After checking in, enjoy your first game drive, where you may spot giraffes, zebras, and the occasional lion. End your day at a comfortable lodge, enjoying African cuisine and a peaceful atmosphere.
- Day 2: Full Day in Tarangire National Park
Spend a full day exploring Tarangire’s unique ecosystems, including its grasslands, swamps, and dense forests. Tarangire is known for its massive baobab trees and is one of Tanzania’s best places to see elephants in large numbers. Your game drive will take you deep into the park, where your guide will point out rare wildlife and bird species, offering you a chance to connect with the African wilderness.
- Day 3: Tarangire to Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast, travel to Lake Manyara National Park. The park is home to various bird species, including flamingos and pelicans, and offers the rare sight of tree-climbing lions. The park is also famous for its diverse landscapes, ranging from dense forests to open plains. Enjoy a game drive as you spot herds of buffalo and groups of elephants grazing near the lake’s edge.
- Day 4: Lake Manyara to Ngorongoro Crater
Today, journey to Ngorongoro Crater, one of the best-preserved volcanic craters in the world. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the crater is home to a wide range of animals, including the Big Five. You’ll descend into the crater for a day of game viewing, where you may see lions, elephants, rhinos, and numerous bird species. - Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater to Serengeti National Park
